The 'Australian' Dream

When you travel Australia, you sort of end up in a bubble and switch off from the real world...

… One day you’re sailing on the clearest blue water you’ve ever seen, snorkelling with tropical fish and relaxing on pure white sand, next minute you’re in a Rainforest, surrounded by enormous trees and plants that are millions of years old… and the next you’re feeding kangaroos at sunset or getting unbelievable photos of one of the pink lakes (yes you read that right… Australia has PINK lakes)...

...Fast track a few weeks and you’re breaking your back in a fast paced farm to get your 88 days signed off, in literally the middle of god knows where..! Wearing the same clothes all week, covered in whatever muck your farm covers you in… Girls, you can forget about make-up! And guys, get ready for beard growing competitions. Living for the weekend to kick back and have a few drinks with your farm work family, making friends for life.

Then you take the plunge to tackle one of the BIG cities and become a corporate junkie…Make-up bag dusted off, beard trimmed, suited & booted and interview ready...chasing your dreams and taking every opportunity the concrete jungle throws your way.

It’s all surreal, and being so far from the rest of the world, your travel bubble becomes your whole world. You catch yourself saying bottleo or smoko without a second thought, and contemplate ever going home… but how do you get started?

But before your story can begin, the panic sets in….How do I find farm work..? What’s the best place to snorkel? Where did you say that Rainforest was? How much money do I need for all this? Isn’t Australia HUUUGE, how will I get around, do I need to buy a car? Which city should I go to?

We know you have lots of questions, and sometimes finding the answers can be hard. There are hundreds of blogs, thousands of websites and loads of Facebook groups and pages all with conflicting information...

Hence the birth of The Traveller Bubble (TTB)
